Misty is an amazing horse owner and trainer. She has a whole herd of majestic beauties and brought three of them out to Saint Anthony Sand Dunes for photographs.

We were lucky enough to capture deep blue skies due to the storms nearby. The rain evaded us, but we saw some lightning strikes miles off on the horizon for the first 30 minutes of shooting.

The sand dunes are picturesque! Especially Elgin Lake with the dunes in the background. There are sand buggies and loud sounds often at this location, but these horses kept their composure! There was minimal to no spooking from the loud zooming noises, which goes to show how wonderful a job Misty has done with desensitizing her crew! We’re hoping to take more photos of her horses once the fall colors start popping off!
