Why should I hire Laura Merikay as my Photographer?
If you’ve viewed my images and felt captivated or intrigued by them, then perhaps you already know the answer to this question! You’re paying for high quality imagery that stands out from the rest.
Aside from my session, what does my session fee pay for?
Your session free pays for my time~ before, during, and after~ our shoot. My job doesn’t end as soon as we’re through taking pictures. I’m very meticulous at everything I do, including editing your images. Not only does your session pay for my time but it also pays for my creativity.
Will you drive to any location for our shoot?
This varies on the session you are paying for as well as the location and will be discussed when you contact me.
What should I do to prepare for our pet portrait session?
First and foremost you should bathe your pet the night before so they will be clean and beautiful for their session. The second most important thing to do in preparation is to get a bag of your pet’s favorite treats so we can bribe them.
How long will the shoot last?
The shoot length varies with session. For example, a $125 pet portrait session you gets you 1 hours of shooting or as long as I deem necessary to acquire all the images I need.
Why do you require a non-refundable deposit?
The only reason I require a deposit is to discourage and avoid last minute cancellations. You may cancel no less than 12 days before a shoot. If you do cancel less than 12 days before the shoot your deposit will be kept. Simply put, if you wish to reschedule you loose your deposit. If we are rained out we can reschedule with no loss of a deposit.
When will I get my images?
After the session you select your favorite images for me to do post processing on. A teaser or two will be sent your way the day after the shoot. Then, three to four weeks later, the images sent to you via a private online gallery from which you may order prints and products.
How will I receive my images?
Images will be sent to you via a private gallery link. I’ll email you a password along with the gallery and you can order your prints from the comfort of your own home. Yes it’s really as simple as that! If you would like a CD of the images you may view my pricing guide for the package that includes one.
Why should I get prints through your printing company as opposed to going to Wal-mart and printing them myself?
I can guarantee quick delivery from my printing company, superior quality, and ANY size you want. The prices are slightly higher for smaller prints, but VERY close to Wal-mart prices, and a million times better looking folks! Trust me, if you wish to view examples in person I can bring some to our session to show you.
What additional printing options are available?
At this time I offer Canvas Gallery Wraps, Thin Wraps, and Albums for an additional cost.
What if I need to reschedule?
If you need to reschedule proper notification (12 days) is requires to avoid losing your deposit. Rescheduling due to weather- aka if an outdoor session is rained out- is the only exception.
